Guinea pigs and other animals

GPWUK does not recommend keeping guinea pigs with animals of a different species. There are many reasons for this, including different dietary needs, potential for disease transfer and potential for injury. Despite anecdotal cases where guinea pigs have been successfully housed with other species, such as rabbits, there are many cases where harm has been caused as a result of these housing arrangements.
