Pet guinea pig shows

The primary concerns in showing guinea pigs relate to stress and biosecurity. Guinea pigs are prey animals, and stressors from these events include travel, removal from their normal environment, exposure to loud and busy environments and extra handling.

Whilst biosecurity risks can be minimised by practices such as handwashing, there is still potential for the spreading of disease via aerosol transmission.
